About Me

I've been a teacher my whole life! I started as a homeroom teacher in 2014 at one of the most prestigious schools in Metro Manila. Then I joined the JET Programme in 2021 to teach in Japan!

Classroom Educator (Philippines, 2014)

I began my career at Xavier School (one of the Philippines' premier academic institutions), where I taught core subjects, led curriculum development, and mentored fellow teachers. My teaching style is student-centered, rooted in collaboration, visible thinking, and differentiated instruction.

JET Programme (Japan, 2021)

I spent three years in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), teaching English to elementary and junior high school students. I created engaging lessons tailored to Japanese learners and coached students for city-wide English speech contests. This experience gave me an empathetic understanding of cross-cultural communication and the unique language-learning needs of Japanese speakers.

IELTS Specialist (Remote, 2024 to present)

I hold an IELTS Academic Overall Band Score of 8.5 (Listening: 8.5, Reading: 9.0, Writing: 7.5, Speaking: 8.5) and have successfully guided countless students through the rigors of the exam.

Curriculum Creator (Remote, 2024 to present)

Beyond 1:1 tutoring, I design and publish my own digital & interactive learning materials, study guides, and eBooks, including our flagship platforms, Soulful IELTS (Cozy English JP), and The Art of Soulful Writing (a project dedicated to reflective, expressive language).
