About Me

I've been a teacher my whole life! For 6 years, I was a homeroom teacher at one of the most prestigious schools in Metro Manila. Then I joined the JET Programme in 2021 to teach in Japan!

Classroom Educator (Philippines)

I began my career at Xavier School (one of the Philippines' premier academic institutions), where I taught core subjects, led curriculum development, and mentored fellow teachers. My teaching style is student-centered, rooted in collaboration, visible thinking, and differentiated instruction.

JET Programme (Japan)

I spent three years in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), teaching English to elementary and junior high school students. I created engaging lessons tailored to Japanese learners and coached students for city-wide English speech contests. This experience gave me an empathetic understanding of cross-cultural communication and the unique language-learning needs of Japanese speakers.

IELTS Specialist

I hold an IELTS Academic Overall Band Score of 8.5 (Listening: 8.5, Reading: 9.0, Writing: 7.5, Speaking: 8.5) and have successfully guided countless students through the rigors of the exam.

Curriculum Creator

Beyond 1:1 tutoring, I design and publish my own digital learning materials, study guides, and eBooks, including our flagship platforms, Soulful IELTS (Cozy English JP), and The Art of Soulful Writing (a project dedicated to reflective, expressive language).
